i-ACCESS MyRights: A new project to provide AI-driven support for a smart justice with children in Europe

i-ACCESS MyRights

A new project, called i-ACCESS MyRights, will improve access to information and legal assistance for child victims in the European Union, including by using digital and artificial intelligence tools.

AI-driven solutions will allow child victims to easily find information and exercise their rights in criminal proceedings, while improving the judicial process flow, and reduce children's stress, regardless of their gender, social and cultural background. At the same time, these solutions will offer children more opportunities to express their views and needs and to make their voice heard in the justice system.

During the first project meeting that took place in Budapest, 6-8 February, the team decided, among other things, the establishment of the Child Advisory Board and the main activities children will be invited to participate in.

The project develops in the period January 2023 – December 2024 and is led by Terre des hommes Regional Hub in Hungary. It is implemented in partnership with Terre des hommes Romania, Terre des hommes Hellas, Lawren.io, NOLDUS, KU Leuven and SAPI, and is co-funded by the European Union’s Justice Programme (2021 - 2027).
