On 18 February 2021, Terre des hommes (Tdh) together with its partners, Organization for Aid to Refugees (Czech Republic), Ocalenie Foundation (Poland), and Slovene Philantropy organised the final conference of the “MINT – Mentoring for Integration of third country national children affected by migration” project to present the mentoring methodology developed in the project and discuss the opportunities to use it in other EU country contexts.

The organisation engages with children to understand their perspective and empowers them to become agents of change who advocate for child-centred justice.

How to facilitate the education of Roma children in migration: conclusions at European level


On 3 February 2021, Terre des hommes together with its partners, Fundación Secretariado Gitano (Spain) and AFEJI (France), organised an advocacy conference at European level to discuss the necessary measures that could facilitate the inclusion and improve schooling of Roma children in the European Union.

“Back home, back to hope” - Supporting children and families affected by the earthquake in Albania

Since the first day after the 26 November 2019 earthquake in Albania, Tdh was on the ground distributing hundreds of blankets and hygiene products and providing first-aid psychosocial support to the affected children and families to help them overcome the shock, anxiety, and trauma.

Refugees in Greece: risk of homelessness and destitution for thousands during winter


As winter closes in, thousands of refugees in Greece still face homelessness and destitution. While winter always poses a challenge, this year is likely to become one of the most challenging yet due to the ongoing pandemic, a deliberate decrease in the length of support for refugees, and the lack of a comprehensive integration strategy and strategy against homelessness from authorities.
